Taste of Abra: Inladit

Deep-fried pressed dough (using a greased fork), then coated with a mixture of sugar syrup and butter/margarine with a subtle aroma of vanilla. This dish derived its name from the Iloco/Ilocano word ladit or laddit which means to flatten, press or knead - the same process in making niladdit or miki noodles and empanada. Sweet and crunchy, it is a perfect match of piping hot, savory miki.
